About 1 year ago I have found a small WinPE *.wim file and this was the start for doing this. I added programs for my needs.
I use this bootable CD image for backup, recovery, etc.
Software Included:
Network Configuration Tool - allows to change network configuration such IP, workgroup, computer name, etc.
Remote Desktop Connection - included Windows mstsc
UltraVNC Viewer 1.02 - VNC viewer
Active File Recovery - recovers deleted files
Partition Recovery - recovers accidentaly deleted partitions
ntpwedit 0.3 - resets any account password of the host Windows (XP, Vista, 2003)
Ghost Explorer 11.2 - tool to explore Symantec Ghost *.gho files and restore them
UltraISO 9.2 - CD burning software, also good to handle CD image files
WinACE 2.69 - file archiver (WinRAR and WinZIP, generate errors)
ExplorerXP - file commander to browse files
Opera 9.50 - web browser with flash thinstalled
Miranda 0.7.7 - IM client (only yahoo and irc plugins)
Also Supports:
sata drives
usb flash drives
Minimum Requirements:
CPU @ 350MHz
384MB RAM
1024x768x32bit @ 60Hz
Remember that these programs were added to fit my needs. I prefered using Opera (7MB) instead Firefox (13MB), and others to to keep image small and reduce load time. If you want to use an Antivirus, try NOD32 Portable (tested but not added), for AntiSpyware, try Ad-AwareSE. I did not included these because I dont need them in my work, I use Symantec Ghost to make weekly backups.
