Synopsis: The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Sinopsis: Povestea Jamal Malik, un 18 de ani, orfan de la mahalale din Mumbai, care este pe cale de a experimenta cele mai mari zile din viaţa sa. Cu ochii pe întreaga naţiune, el este doar o întrebare de la un câştigător eşalonarea pe 20 de milioane de rupees India's "Cine vrea să fie un milionar?" Dar, în cazul în care arăta pauze de noapte, de poliţie Arestati-l pe suspiciune de inselat, cum ar putea o stradă copil ştie atât de mult? Disperate pentru a-şi demonstra nevinovăţia, Jamal spune povestea vieţii sale în mahala în cazul în care el şi fratele lui a crescut, de aventurile lor împreună pe drum, de vicios întâlniri cu bandele locale, precum şi a Latika, fata a iubit şi şi-a pierdut. Fiecare capitol din povestea lui dezvăluie cheia de la răspunsul la una din joc show de întrebări. Fiecare capitol al lui Jamal, arată din ce în ce mai stratificat poveste, unde a învăţat răspunsurile la spectacolul lui aparent imposibil chestionare. Dar o întrebare rămâne un mister: Ce este acest tânăr aparent fără nici o dorinţă de a face cu adevărat bogăţia pe joc spectacol? În cazul în care noua zi dawns si Jamal revine pentru a răspunde la întrebarea finală, inspectorul şi şaizeci de milioane de telespectatori sunt pe cale de a afla. În centrul său se află storytelling întrebarea în ce oricine vine să cunoască lucrurile pe care le ştiu despre viaţă şi dragoste.
