Prologue to build:
I was making A Custom Vista nad realized after using it that its very unstable, which was not worth the trade off for the cool effects. I then Tried Server 2008 and most people like me before give up on it when it won't let you finish install until you come up with a very complex password, only I persisted and after several tries got the password that was enough for the requirement. I then set out via Google to discover that it can be converted into a workstation with full Aero Effects and password can be disabled.
After I got the system effects to maximum,full Aero I noticed that it was still very fast, very stable, and all my apps were running without any: NOT RESPONDING POPUPS, unlike Vista. I then realized that Microsoft really goofed with the DRM and other Consumer crap that made vista slow and non responsive and unstable.
Server 2008 Rocks, in short, never slows down, cpu cycles are low and memory usage is very low. I will never go back to XP now LOL NO BUG!!!!! So after 2 weeks of 14 hour days, I made Workstation 2008. best Windows OS for the end user ever made. In the WAIK, I enable Desktop Experience, Enabled SuperFetch, and themes, Service as well as disabled Complex passwords. and mounted the install.wim and integrated the M7 Remix III Final visual Style.On the Apps menu I have optional tweaks as well to make it a Workstation, like:
- Disable Cntrl+ALT+Del. To Login
- Disable Verbose mode
- Enable Explorer thumbnails
- Prevent Audio Stutte
- Ernable Audio Service
- Disable ShutdownEventtracker
- Disable Search
- Disable Page Executive
- Change performance to programs
- Increase Simultaneous Downloads and more
all option alI made a script to disable password and set you as auto login but it sometimes stalls, so I removed it and you can do it with the workstation converter which is included on the auto run there are a few things on it that I haven't added to it like the game dll patch, which are in this converter so check it out, but use only my activator on autorun the one on the converter does not work; Note: most things in converter are already auto on my apps menu to choose, there are a few there though not covered on my menu.
Look here to enable Auto login its easy and saves headache
