Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring is available in three editions: One, Powerpack and Free, for both i586 and x86-64 architectures. One and Free can be downloaded free of charge from official Mandriva mirrors and via BitTorren. Powerpack is a commercial edition available by purchase from the Mandriva Store

Am gasit aici solutia la problema driverilor placii grafice (doar 2D, cei 3D nu sint publici pentru ca SiS vrea sa primeasca pe ei bani de la distribuitori). In ciuda a ce se scrie acolo, mie placa wireless mi-a mers imediat dupa instalare si nu a fost nevoie sa modific nimic:

Placa video
Placa video este Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 771/671 PCIE VGA Display Adapter (rev 10) si nu merge cu driverul sis furnizat de Mandriva.
In timpul instalarii alege driverul generic VESA si seteaza rezolutia la 1280x768 (driverul VESA nu poate 1280x800)

Executa rumatoarele comenzi:

mkdir sis_drivers
cd sis_drivers
tar -xf ../sis_drivers.tar.bz2
su
[introdu parola de root cind ti se cere]
cp -f usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/sis_drv.* /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/
cd..
rm -rf sis_drivers
exit

Acum editeaza xorg.conf cu aceste comenzi:

su
[introdu parola de root cind ti se cere]
kwrite /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Modifica sectiunile "Monitor", "Device" si "Screen" astfel:

Acum reinitializeaza (reboot) serverul X (apasa CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE) si rezolutia ecranului ar trebui sa fie 1280X800.
