Synopsis:

Southern region of Jutland, early 1970s. Life is not easy for Allan, a boy of 11 years. His father is emotionally unstable and tries to kill regularly. His mother withdrew, his older brother left home and small shop in the family dairy goes wrong. When the older sister leaves to spend the nights on the sofa with his father, it is the turn of Allan endeavor to keep the family together. His father has just happy to recite his famous and eloquent praise funeral and thus make people cry at funerals in chorus. Allan helps to have enough funerals and so keep his father happy.
